![]() Hence and so forth, every libraries (EXE/DLL) produced thereafter may have been polluted with i686 instructions even though gcc was instructed to i386 code generation. At some point of time, the MinGW startup runtime was broken as it contained CMOV instructions, which requires at least i686. ![]() They are not paid to maintain CPU backward compatibility and lack the obligation to do so. But unfortunately, MinGW/MSYS (from ) maintainers are volunteers. Implemented some missing mono Covox Speech Thing support in my emulator in the meanwhile(still need to test when compiled).Įdit: Can't compile anything using MinGW at the moment: When starting the freshly installed shell(sh.exe) it crashes and gives me an error message in the prompt that a stack trace dump has been made? configuration broke something in Windows 10 圆4?). This could play a part in it? Although the unresponsiveness started happening after I messed with the compiler flags? Maybe the test executables of SDL_gfx/SDL during. ![]() It's currently cleaning up my hard disk and compressing system files. (I also removed AVG and installed 360 Total Security by advice of a friend. Also renaming the shortcut afterwards makes it unresponsive for a little bit. Even simply creating a shortcut makes it crash. Now I just have to get MinGW up and running again(for some reason my desktop keeps crashing since I've tried those things a few posts back. I've reversed the conversion to i386 in my project for now. Also with this build, my emulator kind of goes weird (when opening the emulator BIOS the onscreen emulator keyboard seems to flip and the emulator starts doing lots of screen captures for some reason:S)ītw now I think about it, does Dosbox need some Visual C++ redistributable to run? Even the applications I create with MinGW need it for some reason, even though it shouldn't be needed according to what I could find. ![]() Now to test the new dlls(copy dlls and x86emu.exe to seperate folder, open command prompt, clear path variable to prevent default sdl libraries from being used and testrun).Įdit: It seems SDL still needs the static linking to the gcc resources (which are in my emulator as well), so "-enable-core-inline -static-libgcc -static-libstdc++" on before of those options you gave. Įdit: I've compiled SDL and called make install to install the library into the correct location? Now trying to compile SDL_gfx using the new SDL library (same method) and then my application using it again.Įdit: I've compiled SDL, SDL_gfx and then my emulator with the settings you gave (with an added -prefix=/mingw for SDL and SDL_gfx before the CFLAGS. I've taken it from the Developement library in the Win32 section with (MinGW32). configure won't work in MinGW (I'm running MinGW for Windows on Windows 10 64-bit). ![]()
